Services:
I've had a web presence starting in 1996 and have been
designing web sites ever since. I think my current collection of active
sites speak for themselves in several areas that I consider vital to good
web site design:

Fast loading: A quick-loading site is a result
of good code and efficient use of graphics. There should still be rich
graphic content but not at the sacrifice of speed. No graphics are
worth losing possible viewers because they can't wait around for your
page to load!

Simplicity: There is no need to pile everything
your site can muster up on the first page. Visitors will get overwhelmed
with excessive information and lose interest.

Intuitive: The layout of your site should be
easy to understand and navigate. All vital pages should be reachable
within 3 clicks or less! Unless they are very determined to find your
information, most visitors will give up after that.

Webring and Resources
This site I've managed since for quite a few years now and has
undergone many changes. Unofficial 3D is one of the largest webrings
focusing on amateur and independent 3D animtors around the world. Current
membership is over 500! The site has been a challenge as many of the users
are in Europe or Asia and don't have the fastest internet connections.
Also their browsers aren't always the most current version of Internet
Explorer. Making a site that will please the eye of a skilled 3D artist
and still load quickly was a challenge. The current version was adapted
from the layout of 3D Studio Max (one of the most popular animation
platforms out there). I took a screenshot of the program interface and
designed the web site to look just like it. This way the visitors will be
right at home here!
The Antelope Valley
Church of Christ
A work in progress here. This site uses SSI (Server-Side Includes)
technology to make management of an ever-growing site easier. SSI allows
each page to draw elements from other pages for their content. This means
that making changes to each page can be made from only modifying one! I
expect this site to grow substantially over the next year.

This site has also had some recent changes made to it as I've had the
time. I've learned a lot about making good clean sites over the past
couple of years and wanted to incorporate them into my own page. I hope
you like it!
Please note that there are quite a few
additional sites I've designed or managed over the years but either the
business never got off the ground or I've had to move on to other projects
as time passed. I think that the small number of sites listed here should
give you a good idea of my abilities. |
